Cal Ripken

Tomorrow Cal Ripken, Jr. will be inducted into the baseball hall of fame.

Cal was an unselfish baseball player who gave back to his fans. He made sure to sign every autograph and I think the best memory I have of him is when he paid a visit to a camp I was attending. He was really personal and seemed to actually enjoy being around us. It wasn’t just a photo-op to him. Cal was a great player and even better and amazing person….

Also another amazing person joins him tomorrow and that is Tony Gwynn. This year is all about the class acts of baseball.

I have to say that I completely agree with this year’s HOF inductees being all about class. No one does like these guys did. 20 and 21 years, each only with one team. That’s committment. Both of these men are class acts and remind me why I love baseball.
