Things I Would Like To Know More About
Breaking News: I don’t know everything! I know you are shocked. Well so am I. My plans of global domination have been thwarted… at least until I find the answers I am seeking.
Iraqi Civilian Death Count: The news likes to shower us with the number of American soldiers killed but neglects the number of women and children in Iraq. Don’t get me wrong I believe that our soldiers’ lives are valuable but I am also concerned about the innocent civilians that are dying.
Average Age of American Soldiers Killed In Afghan/Iraq Wars: Why does it seem that every soldier killed in Iraq or Afghanistan is my age or younger?
These are just a few of the questions I would like answered.

Got to agree with you there.
My friend is in lebanon at the moment, fighting with the lebanese army. Obviously with him being there I am regularly checking the news, and all the soliders that are dying tend to be my age..
It is always the same.. if i hear of soldiers being killed in iraq- they are also a similiar age.
does this mean that more and more young people are joining the army? What exactly makes people want to go and risk their lives?
If you want a challenging career – go fight with lions or something?
At least you are set up for the fall……….. difference is knowing your death is likely to happen…..
booby traps and car bombs – hmm, id choose the lions..

I am also so confused about events happen in Iraq. I feel very bad for innocent people who are murdered everyday. They forget they are HUMANS who are killing. What’s a human Life Worth?

I think politicians consider it taboo to put names to the innocent lives lost in Iraq. With a name comes heighten emotional responses, sympathy, empathy, etc.
Most people can live with “A person has died” but once you put a name to the “person” it becomes real.
I’m not anti-war because the realization that no matter how much conversation you have with those you disagree with, sometimes you can’t avoid a strong handed response. My problem is that this war is built on propaganda and deceit. Because of that we have lost thousands of young Americans and countless innocent Iraqis.
And no life is more valuable than another. All life is precious American and Iraqi.
